Special PVC Edge Finishing for Custom Panel Furniture
Not every panel edge can be handled in exactly the same way.
Why Special-Shaped Panels Need Additional Edge Finishing
Edge Quality Checks Before Furniture Assembly
For custom panel furniture with cut-outs, special corners or non-standard profiles, additional manual finishing may be required after the main machining and edge-banding process.
In this factory update, our technician is working on a special PVC edge detail. The edging is manually trimmed and adjusted around the profile, followed by heat-assisted finishing on areas that require extra attention. The edge fit is then checked before the component moves to the next assembly stage.
For OEM furniture buyers, these small production details matter. Poorly finished edges can result in visible gaps, lifting or inconsistent appearance after assembly.
Our approach is to apply additional processing where the design requires it, rather than treating every panel as a standard straight-edge component.
For custom OEM projects, buyers can send us their drawings, panel details, PVC edge specifications and finish requirements for production review.
